Chapter 2:
I slumped into my chair of my first period class trying to think of a way to tell my dad about detention. Carrie slipped into her regular spot next to me barley missing the last bell.
“God how do you always make it to class on time.” I mumbled.
“Sam what’s up now?”
I held up the detention slip.
“Mrs. Black?”
I nodded tears welling in my eyes. “My dad is so going to kill me.”
“Good Morning class pull out you math books and open to page 33.”
“Morning Mrs. Jones.” we mumbled pulling out our math book. There was nothing worse than math on a Monday, scratch that there’s nothing worse than math on a Monday morning.
I felt Carries ice cold hand tap my shoulder.
“God Carrie” I mumbled “What do you want?”
She placed a note in my hand then went back to long equations.
I sighed opening the note all it said was “meet me in our usually place.”
“Samantha.”
I looked up to a very pissed teacher. “Yes…”
“Note, my desk, NOW!”
I slumped out of my chair and walked slowly to the front, placed the note on her desk and walked to my seat.
“Wait right there, Samantha.”
She walked over and put a Detention slip in my hand.
“Wait Mrs. Jones”
“Sam I don’t want to hear it, now go sit back in your seat and I’ll see you tomorrow 3 sharp.”
“Yes m‘am.”
The rest of the class was filled with worry, doubt, and of course because I was being tortured enough…fractions. But after the longest hour of my life the bell rang. Sighing I grabbed my books shoved them in my backpack and grabbed tonight’s homework. Of course Carrie was flipping out because I had to detention slips and wouldn’t leave me alone. It was like having a humming bird buzzing in my ear 24/7.
Finally I snapped. (I was quite proud of myself for lasting this long. ) “CARRIE SHUTUP!”
Carrie looked shocked. “Oh okay sorry.”
“Look Carrie, I just have a lot on my mind okay. I don’t need you constantly yapping in my ear 24/7.”
“Got it Sam there is just something really, really important I need to tell you.”
“What Carrie what is so important that it just couldn’t wait until after class.”
She took a deep breath and pulled out a note. She handed it to me, her hands shaking so badly I could barley take it from her. “I found this in my locker. Someone must have put it there.”
“Okay let me see it.” I was really starting to get worried.
I opened the note slowly and carefully.
Dear Carrie and Sam,
I know who you are. I know your secret. I know all about you. I also know about your future. If you wish to learn more….just don’t follow the crowd.
Sincerely,
P.
“Oh my god. Carrie when did you get this note?!?”
“The last time I went to my locker, it was after math class.”
“So it would have had to been between homeroom and math.”
“But Sam, what is our big secret?”
“I don’t know Carrie, but I’m going to find out and find out soon.”
Lovely Valentines Day gift! It's SO cute. And, I have to say, you've made a massive improvement on your story from last time. The grammar is great, and the flow is smooth, and intriguing. I'm excited to find out what happens next! A few things I noticed:
ReplyDelete"pull out you math books..." It should be 'your'.
“meet me in our usually place.” Should be usual.
Otherwise, great job!
xox, Maya
Thanks so much Maya! I've been trying very hard that's why it took me so long to come up with the 2nd Chapter.
