Caroline's Crazy Adventure Part 1

I just got home from what felt like the longest 4 days of my life. Let me start from the beginning.

Day 1: I wake up to my mom yelling at my sister to pack and my dad poking me on my shoulder asking where his brown shoes are. I get up, take a quick shower and begin to pack. I thought I had packed everything, I even double checked this time. I had a book, my kindle, my ipod, my phone, a journal, and even a back up book packed in my favorite little backpack, I was ready. It turns out I wasn't though. I listen to my ipod for a few hours and decided I should take out my contacts next time we stop so I could take a nap. Turns out I had not only forgotten my glasses, but also my ipod charger. At that point it was 11p.m and I was really tired and just wanted to get to the hotel. My sister had been in a bad mood all day and really bugging me. So I decided to ignore her when she started saying she had a nose bleed. I thought she was trying to be funny. So finally after a good 10 minutes I finally look over and there was blood every where. I mean everywhere. So my girl scout instincts kick in and I look around for napkins or tissues. When I finally found some and had her leaning her head back there was blood all over me and the back seat. I'm really bad about blood so I was freaking out and my sister was freaking out and of course at that moment my mom realizes she forgot all our dresses for the wedding and she starts freaking out. Yes, that was fun. That went on for about 20 minutes until my dad finally decided to stop at a hotel for the night.

Total hours of driving:9
Miles driven: about 500

Day 2: I don't sleep well in hotels so I got a grand total of 4 hours of sleep. My dad woke me up at 4 and wanted everyone up and out in 10 minutes. After stumbling around for 2 of those minutes trying to find my glasses, I realized oh wait that's right I forgot them. I quickly got ready and ran out the door at the last minute. The car was already running and everyone was inside. Not much happened until my mom decided that we should go shopping, right at that moment. After 3 hours of not finding anything we got back in the car and drove without stopping until we finally made it to our destination. After checking into the hotel everyone took showers and got ready for the rehearsal dinner. (It was for my uncle's wedding.) It turns out the rehearsal dinner was at a bar and I was one of the only kids there. There was only 8 kids and I was the oldest. So I ended up watching the kids while everyone got way to many drinks. That was fun. That all lasted for about 3 hours until my dad decided he had had enough of talking with people and we went back to our hotel room. I passed out as soon as lied down.

Total hours of driving: 10
Miles driven about: 700

Like I said I'm extremely tired so I'm heading to bed. I'll post the rest some time this week.

The sadest thing I have even seen on tumblr.

*This post may contain dramatic images that are not suitable for young children. Viewer digression is advised.*

This post is spread awareness of the saddest thing I have ever seen on Tumblr. No, not of a kid who has cancer or me losing all of my followers. It's a picture of this poor little dinosaur and his heart breaking story. (This story was written in the comments of this picture, by many of Tumblr's finest anonymous authors. Enjoy.)

No, it’s fine. I didn’t need my heart.

Are we crying about a doodle of dinosaurs?

Yes

Welcome to Tumblr

Oh god it hurts why would you ever

The meteor was coming.

Oh, God, it was coming and she didn’t know what to do. Her son, her beautiful little son, pressed
close to her side, craning his neck to look up at his Mother.

“Mummy, why is everyone moving? There’s plenty of food here.” He asked in his sweet, innocent voice.

“Because, my sweet, sometimes it is best that we move on. It is our way.” She replied, forcing the words past the lump in her throat.

“Oh,” Her son said, turning his gaze to the fiery rock in the sky that would spell their deaths out for them, “the old Triceratops told me it was cuzza that rock. He said the rock could hurt us real bad.” He continued, not understanding what he meant by those words in his innocence.

“Triceratops is being silly, he just wanted to tease you one more time before he left.” She lied, choking on her tears. Oh, God, he son, her lovely son, was going to die not understanding.

“Oh.”

She turned her face to the meteor- it was close now. It wouldn’t be long. Swinging her head around, she dropped her face to her sons and nuzzled him one last time. “Let’s play a game, yes? And then we’ll go join the others.” She suggested.

“Okay! What game shall we play, Mummy?”

“Let’s play pretend. We will imagine the sort of place we would like to move to, and when we open our eyes, that’s where we shall be.”

“How do we play?”

One last look at the meteor- it was almost time.

“Close your eyes and imagine the place, and count to thirty out loud. Just like when we play Hide-and-Seek.” She curled herself around her son, both of them now laid on the beach.

“Ok, Mummy. 1, 2, 3, 4…”

She watched the meteor approach with sad eyes, and just before it hit land she turned her head, laying it and her neck over her son and bracing herself.

Her son had not yet said 30, but it was over.

Busy Bee

Hello my lovely followers! I'm sorry I meant to post earlier this week but I've been so busy. Sunday night was the Foster the People concert. Monday was an award ceremony thing for school. Tuesday was another thing for school. Wednesday was band practice (My band has there first gig on Friday so nervous :)). Thursday was the school dance(Fun night I got flowers and everything) and last night was my very late birthday/end of the year party. So yes very busy and to top it off I've been fighting a cold all week and it finally caught up with me today. So I got to spend my first day of summer sick. Oh well I caught up on sleep. Anyways this post is going to be full of pictures.
The first ones are of the Foster the People Concert. My friend and I got a little excited and I took about a 100 pictures so I'm only going to post my favorites.

This is my best friend Rihaana. She's who I went to the concert with and these are the shirts we got. I love them soo much!

I love love love this picture! He is such a talented drummer!

There was this cool face that kept changing throughout the whole concert. It smiled, winked, frowned, laughed, and alot other faces. It was awesome.

Here he is singing.

Here's the whole band walking off stage.

Next here are some pictures from my award ceremony, dance, and other things that happened this week. My friend Tayler took about 300 pictures of all of us this week since were all going to different schools next year.

This is Me, Scott, Josh, Rihaana, and Tayler at the award ceremony thing on Monday.

This is Me, Brittany, and Tayler on the last day of school. Love this picture.

Me and Rihaana before the dance. Both of our mom's wanted pictures. They took way to many it took forever.

Me and Scott were slow dancing and everyone decided to take pictures. I still like this picture even though I look like crap.

I love my face in this picture every time I look at it I laugh. I was sick and brought Gatorade to school and Josh was thirsty and decided to take it and I told him find go ahead and get sick. So that's why I made the weird face.

I'm sorry I put up so many pictures and thank you if you actually read this whole post. I promise the next post will be more interesting.

Until the pig flys.

The News

This post is kind of a random post I don't usually post about things like this but lately for some reason I've been getting up 10 minutes earlier than usual. I don't know why I'm a such a strange child. Anyways every morning when I come down stairs my mom is watching the news. I've never really been the type of person that really watches the news. I usually hear important news from my mom or friends. But now that I've started watching the news I'm aware of how crappy the world is. Here are the things that were this morning:

Harvard student found dead

Toddler rides his bike through moving traffic

Unidentified man jumps off Niagara Falls

Dad puts boy in washing machine

Facebook stocks

Civil Wars in forgien countries(It was really sad to see how poorly people were treated in other couturiers like Africa and other poorer countries.

Some sort of sex scandal (I wasn't really paying attention to that one)

Oh  yes and course Political election updates since the election is so close (October or November)

These are the wonderful things I learned from watching the news for 20 minutes. What a great way to start off my day. Why does the news have to report on all the bad things in the world? I mean yes I get it I should be informed of all the crap going on the world. But why can't I wake in the morning and oh look a litter of puppies was born last night or a school comes together and plants baby trees in a forest that just had a fire. Why can't the news be happy? Why can't the news inspire people to do amazing things for people and except nothing in return? So far all I've been inspired to do is turn off the t.v. I don't care about some celebrity sex scandal or how bad the Facebook stock market is. I just don't understand why this is considered "breaking news". Oh yes people need to know about this right away. I just get so upset sometimes about stupid things that are made into way big of a deal.

So what do you think about what I had to say? Do you agree or disagree?

Well I think that's all I have to say. (I'm sure there will be more for me to say I just gotta study for end of the year tests.) Thank you for listening to me ramble on about The News.

Until next time.

Yes I know I'm very very late....

I'm sorry for not doing my usual a post a week I've been very busy lately not to mention that I have an S.O.L (a really big test that decides what classes you get for the next year) next week but it's writing so i'm not to worried. Anyways Band has been my life these past few weeks because Competition is next Saturday my band teacher wanted us to play in front of an audience so were not as nervous. So today I played in front of the 8th grade, Monday were playing in front of the teachers, and he is still trying to find us one more place to play. Okay okay enough of my life lets get on with the post. Today I decided to do just sort of a random post were I just post random stuff. It might not make sense but oh well. First I'm starting off with a book review. Today I am going to review The Shadow Project By Herbie Brennan.
Danny is just trying to survive, not join some top-secret CIA/MI6 spy operation.
Unfortunately for Danny, when he accidentally stumbles into their secret
underground facility, he is sucked in to the Shadow Project. The Shadow Project
uses special machines to separate your energy body from your body, almost like
being a ghost or some sort of spirit. You can see other people, but they can't
see you. You can visit anywhere in the world in the blink of an eye. To the CIA
and MI6, this seems to be the perfect reconnaissance tool. The problem is, one
of the agents has been captured in their spirit body, which was said to be
impossible! Meanwhile, Danny discovers a plot to summon spiritual monsters from
the parallel Astral world and attack the Shadow Project! It is up to Danny and
his fellow teen agents, Opal and Michael, to stop this attack at all costs.
I had found this book at the liberary and it looked like the kinda book I would love. So I checked it out and when I got home I googled it and lots of reviews came up. Some said they loved it some said they hated it. So I decided to give it a try. I finished it in about a week and I guess it was okay I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. I would probably give it a 3.5/5. Some parts of the book were very confusing and I had to reread it. Others were fast paced and I loved. It was one of those books that was a hit or miss. It depends on what you like to read. This is a sci-fiction book so if you like those books you might be able to reread the confusing parts and still be able to enjoy the book.
